All managers must comply with the following list of policies in addition to the Rules of Employment. Failure to comply with any  of these items may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment and/or the reduction or  elimination of any bonus due.

ADDITIONAL RULES FOR MANAGEMENT
All managers must comply with the following list of policies in addition to the Rules of Employment. Failure to comply with any of these items may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment and/or the reduction or elimination of any bonus due.
1. If you make a deal with anyone in the company and then break that deal, including but not limited to: 1) Any manager or employee being late without calling his supervisor prior to tardiness.
2) Any manager or employee taking a day off without permission.
3) Providing false or misleading information or lying to any superior, peer or subordinate, unless doing so is a protected activity.
4) Being late for an operation meeting (OPs) or not showing up for one.
2. Being convicted of any felony or DUI that could reasonably subject the Company to legal liability or prevent you from performing the manager job duties.
3. Giving away food without charging full price for it or not ringing up any waste. Any sponsorship discounts must be approved by an area manager. This also includes supervising employee discounts.
4. Purchasing food items or supplies with your own money, placing any of said items in the store or including any said items as store inventory.
5. All waste must be rung up within 5 minutes of the occurrence. Any other miscellaneous waste items (cap portion) must be rung up at the end of each shift. Any sandwiches that are consumed by employee must be rung up as an employee transaction, not waste. No exceptions.
6. Not slicing per the company slicing chart.
7. If manager or any shift leader ever runs out of anything they must call the area manager immediately." They must call Area manager if they get down to 9 sticks and/or if they get down to six wheat slices.
8. No numbers regarding prices for foods, deposit amounts, sales amounts, etc. may be discussed with anyone. This is confidential information that will hurt the business if the wrong people hear it. Keep it to yourself. This does not prohibit anyone from discussing their compensation and/or working conditions.
9. DON’T ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS OR LET ANYONE TOUR THE SHOP WITHOUT WRITTEN PERMISSION. IF A REPRESENTATIVE FROM A GOVERNMENT AGENCY, HEALTH DEPARTMENT, NEWS CREW, POLICE, OR FIRE DEPARTMENT PRODUCES VALID IDENTIFICATION AND SEEKS ENTRY INTO THE BACK OF THE PREMISES, PERMIT ENTRY BUT CALL THE OPERATIONS MANAGER/PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. AREA MANAGER MUST BE NOTIFIED IF ANY REPRESENTATIVE OF JJ CORPORATE OFFICES ENTERS THE STORE.
10. On nights when a part-timer stays to help close, save all cash handling, bookkeeping, and closing out the register until clean-up is finished and the extra help has left.
11. Any cash overage or shortage of greater than one percent of gross sales.
a. Cash handling policy
i. +/- $5 – GM notified. GM Calls AreaManager
ii. +/- $10 – GM notified. GM calls Area Manager. Area manager logs it on the cash report log. This helps track trends.
iii. +/- $25 GM notified. GM calls Area Manager. Area manager logs it on the cash report log. GM goes to store immediately to look for
money and the cause.
iv. +/- $40 GM notified. GM calls Area Manager. GM goes to store immediately to look for money and the cause. Area Manager notifies
the company’s highest-ranking position in the company. After an investigation… termination.
12. A manager who works a full shift in his or her store is entitled to a complimentary meal while on his or her shift. The meal may consist of the following items: 1 sub, club or slim, a beverage and a pickle or chips (not both). The specifics of this rule are this:
i. The meal must be consumed during your shift. You cannot take any part of it home.
ii. You can only ring up what you actually consume for your meal. If at any time you ring up additional items that are not consumed, you will forfeit your bonus and could be terminated.
iii. Any food from outside vendors must be purchased before employee’s shift. Outside food may not be purchased using store labor.
iv. Manager meal must be consumed at desk or lobby.
v. Someone other than the manager must make the sandwich and receipt must be kept with the meal. 13. No personal email is to ever be sent from the store computer.
14. At no time may a manager enter into any agreement with anybody written or unwritten. This includes any type of contract or advertising deal.
15. No employee or manager meals are to be eaten between 11:00am and 1:00pm unless the manager’s or employee’s legally required meal period falls within that time. Employees should be scheduled to avoid having their meal period fall during these hours.
16. No slicing is allowed between 11:00am and 12:30pm, Monday – Friday.
17. Nothing is to be placed on top of any freezer or cooler at any time. This area must be kept clear and free of obstructions, so compressors can breathe efficiently, unless you have written permission from the Operations Manager/President of the Company.
18. Managers are required to keep all driver cash exceeding the $50 limit dropped in the register.
19. Managers must know, understand, and comply with state break and youth labor laws.
20. Managers must notify the Operations Manager/President of the Company immediately upon receiving a complaint of any kind of harassment, discrimination or retaliation.
21. Managers are not allowed to edit punches in the timekeeping system without that employee’s consent and then it must only be to reflect the actual time the employee worked. The GM must keep the store staffed to appropriate levels at all times.
22. If there are any changes to the normal manager schedule that an area manager needs to be notified and approve the event.
23. No manager may be sexually or romantically involved with an employee whom the manager has authority over. Such authority includes, but is not limited to, recommendation, hiring, evaluation, or compensation. If a manager does become involved in a relationship with such an employee as described above, the manager must notify their boss and the Operations Manager/President of the Company immediately to determine the best course of action.
24. WSR, Inventory, Weekending Report, Supply Report and approved time and attendance report must be completed and submitted before 12pm every Wednesday on the CORE JJ website and subshopmanagement.com or via Dropbox. This includes all write-ups. Employees must be entered into the payroll system by 12pm on the Wednesday prior to pay day.
25. Schedule and phone book must be made available online at all times.
26. If any employee paperwork or employee information changes, manager must submit it on the website or via dropbox.
27. Any time a delivery takes 20 minutes or more to leave the store, an area manager must be called and notified. No matter what. Area manager must notify Operations Manager/President of the Company immediately.
The manager must notify the Area manager if any poor-quality produce or damaged product is brought in store. Employees may never eat broken product. Broken product is to be reported and recorded every inventory date. Any time bad produce is turned away, area manager must be notified. Produce must be turned away at delivery if it is not up to par and indicated online via the delivery confirmation report. If anything ordered is left off the delivery, the Area Manager and produce company must be called for an immediate fix.
28. If anyone comes into the store looking for the Operations Manager/President of the Company or area manager, you must take down their information and fill out the appropriate form on the employee website. Do not give any information out.
29. Manager must record the house account balance on the expense report on the last day of each week. All house account invoices must be requested by the end of each week. All orders put on the house account must include an authorized PO and a House Account Form must be completed and sent to the Area Manager before the end of the shift.
30. Produce must be ordered via the JJ NPS Sub Shop Management Site. Each produce order must be confirmed upon delivery on the same website.
31. All employees must have access to the store website portal. This registration must be completed before their first shift.
32. Hiring manager must submit all new information and compete hiring procedures prior to employees first shift. All information must be on file and the employee must be entered in MacromatiX and the POS before the employee’s first shift. If employee is to work at another store, a transfer form must be completed prior to that shift. Failure to follow these processes is an immediate termination offense.
33. Produce must be ordered via the JJ NPS Sub Shop Management site. Each produce order must be confirmed upon delivery on the same website.
34. Managers are required to monitor the store management Groupme message feed while clocked in to be well prepared for shift and to build communication among the management team. This is a free application and you may use store Wi-Fi so that you were not charged any data from your phone company while using it. Wi-Fi is to be used for this purpose only and network password is not to be shared with anyone whatsoever. If you lose access to this feed, you must contact your general manager or area manager to regain access immediately.
35. All manager paperwork, receipts, submissions, and punch lists must be completed and filed and stored every Wednesday by 12pm.
36. Incident reports must be filled and submitted online immediately, and area manager is to be called.
37. Any time a customer complains a general manager must be called and notified during the same shift. General manager will discuss how we will handle the situation and move forward and will notify area manager if this is a recurring event.
38. Produce Standards: Produce is never to be accepted under our standards, for any reason. Produce orders will be logged at
